ANTIOCH, TN (WSMV) –

Police say a 30-year-old man is recovering from injuries after two men attempted to rob him early Saturday morning in Antioch.

The robbery happened outside the Baker Hill Apartments on the 300 block of Bakertown Road just after 12:30 a.m.

The victim told police he was approached outside the apartment complex by two black men who attempted to rob him.

When they were unsuccessful, one of the men shot the victim in the shoulder and hip.

While the victim was unable to give a physical description of the suspects, he said they fled in a medium-sized silver vehicle.

The victim was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating the incident.
